What is a pallet wrapper? A pallet wrapper is a pallet stretch wrapping machine that is used to simplify the job of encasing heavy, loaded pallets for easy storage and transportation. Plastic film is used to keep the contents of the pallet held together securely for safety and convenience. This containment is often vital in warehouse and distribution environments for safety and the movement of goods from one place to another.

The stretched plastic film offers extra support to the pallet and its contents during product transportation. Stretch pallet wrapping also provides an important safety function by preventing spills, falls and breakages.

Types of Stretch Wrapping Machine

A pallet stretch wrapping machine offers an efficient method of wrapping a variety of pallet loads. A turntable wrapper is often a cost-effective solution to typical pallet wrapping applications. With this type of machine, the pallet is placed on a turntable, which revolves whilst a wrapping arm moves vertically to wrap the load in plastic. These pallet wrapping machines are extremely quick and may wrap an entire pallet in moments.

Radial arm pallet wrappers are used in high-volume applications where pallets must be wrapped at a high rate. Instead of a revolving turntable, these machines feature a radial arm which wraps the stationary pallet with film. Radial arm pallet wrappers are also employed when the weight of the load means it cannot be revolved on a turntable.

Pallet stretching wrapping machines have a number of important advantages over manual systems of pallet wrapping. Consistency is one major problem with hand wrapping pallets because it is impossible to wrap each pallet in exactly the same way. Pallet wrappers ensure that pallets are wrapped uniformly, neatly and consistently each time.
